Hello
This website is part scrapbook, part archive, part digital bedroom wall.
I like old internet culture, strange little websites, music rabbit holes, interesting interfaces, used bookstores, and projects that feel handmade.
This site exists because modern social media feels temporary. Personal websites feel permanent. Or at least permanent enough to survive three redesigns and one accidental CSS disaster.
About The Site
GGCRIVET started as a place to collect thoughts, links, playlists, images, favorite media, and whatever else seemed worth keeping.
The aesthetic is inspired by:
- Old forums
- Message boards
- Late-night desktop browsing
- 2000s internet design
- Custom themes and user pages
- The era when websites had personalities
Favorite Things
- Rainy evenings
- Overcomplicated playlists
- Physical media
- Finding obscure websites
- Cool typography
- Games with strange atmosphere
- Organizing things for no reason
- Internet history
Blinkies
Random Facts
- I open too many tabs and emotionally commit to all of them.
- Half my playlists are named things like "2:14AM energy."
- I think websites should feel like places.
- I will absolutely judge a website by its fonts.
- Broken HTML builds character.
Final Transmission
The internet becomes better every time someone makes something weird and personal.
Thanks for visiting this tiny digital corner of the universe.
